In close cooperation with our Chinese customer RAIING MEDICAL, we created an innovative solution for individual medical data collection. We gathered on-site knowledge from hospitals in Beijing to be able to design an optimal and safe product for the user. This resulted in the Temp+ health care wearable with an advanced 3-electrode system.

It offers the possibility to record your heartbeat in the most accurate way. Other functions such as oxygen saturation and temperature are recorded and feedback on your health status is sent to your app via Bluetooth. The lightweight and dirt-resistant design offers maximum comfort not only during sports, but also in your everyday life.

Simple, light and compact

A good and easy usability was one of the most important aspects in the design of Temp+. A replaceable, medical adhesive foil is attached to the back of the product. This allows Temp+ to be placed on the body, above the heart. In addition, the sensors can be extended by a flat cable, which is attached near the armpit. This allows accurate measurement of body temperature. The outer shell is also made of flexible, water-repellent silicone, which is easy to clean.

Everything important right in your app

Temp+ offers the possibility to connect directly with your cell phone. All important data is stored and evaluated in your app. Even if you don't have your phone or smartwatch with you, the data is saved and transferred afterwards. The app records all time intervals of your training and clearly displays your performance. Warnings are transmitted directly and are audible through an acoustic signal.

Sensors

Maximum precision

The sensors are designed for accurate data acquisition. The measured values of ECG, oxygen saturation and optionally the temperature are recorded. In addition, the Temp+ sensors also record your running efficiency values, which help you optimize your performance. This includes information on stride length, vertical movement and ground contact time. The technology is protected by a waterproof silicone cover and thus guarantees a smooth use in everyday life and during sports.

Research

At the beginning of the project, the market positioning was defined. The goal was to develop a high-tech product that could be combined with the user's lifestyle. In terms of appearance, Temp+ should find its way into an everyday and sporty lifestyle and be a pleasure to wear. Also a clear distinction from sterile-looking medical products is crucial.

Design development

Not Everything Starts with a Sketch

From design consulting to product development, to the realization and implementation of the products on the market. The experience gained from more than 10 years with international companies and in the field of medical devices helps us to design and implement the projects for our clients. We first analyze the market and the needs of the users and define a goal. This forms the basis in the further design process.

Our design process shows various stages of different basic shapes and color combinations, taking into account the European Medical Device Regulation (MDR). From the very beginning, great emphasis was placed on the correct choice of hygienic materials and design methods. This gave us an advantage at an early stage. Thanks to the framework conditions set, the product could be designed with a goal in mind, particularly with a view to subsequent production.

Different people, different tastes. The goal in the design was to develop a Temp+ that would suit a wide variety of situations. Whether a simple variant for everyday life or energetic colors for sports. There is a style for every situation.

Technical construction

Lightweight and safe. Also underwater.

Temp+ is designed with a flexible, three-part circuit board that allows the product to follow the shape of your body. The individual chambers also emphasize the individual electrodes of the ECG measurement. In addition, the technical components have been form-fittingly integrated into the product to ensure a comfortable fit. The waterproof silicone cover allows to dive up to 30 meters. Whether in open water or in the pool. Temp+ reliably records your data in any situation.
