The e-bike boom is just starting. After visiting the Eurobike last year as part of our ZOOM-IN trendreport, the first thing we noticed this time was the high demand for electrically powered vehicles. Not only was the trade fair rescheduled back to its original date at the beginning of September – which was very helpful for exhibitors and visitors, it was also finally open on the last day for end consumers.
This makes sense because above all, e-bikes, cargo bikes and e-scooters were the highlights of the fair and were increasingly positioned as serious urban means of transport for a broad public. Not only were we able to get a comprehensive picture of the most exciting trends in materials, shapes and technology, but we also learned how innovative and creative the transportation of the future will look and how our cities will change.
In line with this development, we met with key players and innovators in the industry:
- Jakob Luksch (STROMER)
- Horst Schuster (BROSE)
- Peter Wöstmann & Rolf Kathrein-Lehmann (ORTLIEB)
