After the Red Dot Award 2018, we are now also very pleased about the German Design Award 2019 Special Mention. Once again, the Xuan Zhi switch and socket series, which we designed for ABB China, came through with flying colors.

Our design team was consciously focused on style and elegance while using a bold, minimalist geometric design. Specifically, this meant not using any frame visible from the front. A slightly curved rocker offers a single contrast while at the same time increasing user friendliness. For the jury at the German Design Award 2019, this was not only an optical highlight, it was also a pioneering development: “The focus of the Xuan Zhi switch and socket series’ carefully thought-out design was its consciously reduced, unembellished appearance,” the jury stated.
